Bill McCulloch & Associates
Inc.
December
26th marks the discharge date of our
bankruptcy and I wanted to take a moment
and say thank you.
Knowing
in our hearts that bankruptcy was our
only option and picking up the phone
to talk about that decision was two
entirely different things. Your firm
was not the first that I called, but
it should have been. When I hung up
the phone from the first call, I felt
worse than before I had made it. The
person I spoke to made me feel ashamed,
embarrassed and spoke to me like I
was “beneath” her time.
One of my biggest worries was being
able to keep our home – I didn’t
want our children to suffer for our
bad choices. I was told, from the first
call, that keeping my home was more
than likely not an option. I hung up
and broke down. As I went to put the
phone book away, I quickly flipped
through the listings and I happened
upon your ad – I called.
I
spoke directly with Mr. McCulloch on
that first call and when I hung up,
I felt something that I hadn’t
felt in over two years…hope.
I didn’t feel ashamed after hanging
up, I didn’t feel embarrassed,
nor did he speak to me like I was worst
than a common criminal. He spoke to
me like someone who wanted to help.
That same attitude, I felt from each
and every person I had contact with.
And,…we are still in our home.
We
have been able to use our bankruptcy
as a second chance to re-group. My
husband was also able to stop working
3 jobs (that not only took him away
too much of the time, but also didn’t
cover the bills) and focus on building
his business. Now he does something
he loves, and has had the time to build
it into something that can support
our family.
Our
children are happier because their
parents are happy. Our house is no
longer filled with fights over money
(or the lack of) or sleepless nights
worrying about bills and debt. We have
been able to change our lives and our
childrens’ lives for the better.
We
have learned what spending habits got
us into trouble and how to avoid these
traps in the future. Don Jackshaw counselled
us on how to make a plan and how to
spend within our means. We will now
have the chance to put some money into
savings for our children’s education – something
that we could never do before.
Thank you. Thank you for being the type of company that treats
people with respect and dignity.
Merry
Christmas to all and the best in
the New Year.
